Community Carnival
Design for Volunteer Queensland (2023)
This project was a three day design intensive in a team of 4 other people where we designed a solution for "How might Volunteering Queensland make National Student Volunteer Week an event driven by young people, and help contribute to the long-term sustainability of volunteering in Australia?"
At the end of our intensive we presented our design to the client and won an award for our efforts.

Our Solution
Our solution was a carnival in which would be held during NSVW, run for primary school students by high school students in which would help to teach and encourage young Australians about volunteering and it's importance. This is achieved by stalls with games and activities created to simulate volunteering in the real world.
What I did
-
Contributed in team discussions, research and brainstorms, drawing upon my experience volunteering as a Girl Guide
-
Drew the Volunteer Pioneers logo and created a prototype community award to be handed out at schools for participation in the Community Carnival
-
Assisted in presenting our design solution to the client, handing out physical versions of our award prototypes.
-
Helped in delegating and participating in tasks fairly
